Feast

On the eve that the Abenaki got to the river, they have a great feast of plentiful fish.  This is how they cook it:

1. Dig a pit.

2. Put stones in the bottom in the pit.

3. Build a fire on top of the stones.

4. Keep fire going until stones are too hot to touch.

5. Put fish on top of stones.

6. Cover the fish with earth.

7. The next morning, dig fish up and enjoy!

Maybe they caught white perch.

The Abenaki lured in Smelt,Salmon,Shad,Bass,and Sturgeon that swim upriver to spawn.
